Super Easy Delicious Hemp Seed Butter

Peanut butter and I were really good friends at one time.  We use to meet up at least once a day for lunch, sometimes after dinner for dessert and then there were times we would occasionally just hook up for a snack.  The relationship was fun while it lasted but there was a point in time we had to cut ties.  I just couldn’t tolerate peanut butter any more.  After we would get together I just didn’t feel good.  Because I love me more, I had to say good bye.
I would always think of peanut butter and tried to resume our friendship a couple of times but the same bad feelings would occur.  Then I found a new friend, hemp seed butter.  Hemp seed butter is different we get along very well.  We don’t meet up as often as with peanut butter but whenever I get that craving hemp butter is there.  Also with hemp butter a little goes a long way and I always feel good afterwards.
If your in the midst of a peanut butter break up or you just want to try something new, check out my recipe for hemp seed butter and the different variations below.
Hemp Seed Butter

1 Cup of Organic Hulled Hemp Seeds
4 dates (I used Halawi dates)
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon of cardamom
1/4 cup of grape seed oil
Put the cup of hemp seeds in a food processor, add the dates, sea salt and cardamom.  Process till blended together once it starts blending, slowly pour the 1/4 cup of grape seed into the mixture until the mixture is nice and smooth.  If you feel like you need a smoother and creamier texture you can add a little bit more oil.
Once it’s blended to your satisfaction scoop in a glass container and store in the refrigerator.
*To make different variations of the hemp seed butter:
For chocolate hemp seed butter, add 1 TB of cacao to make a chocolate hemp seed butter.
For matcha hemp seed butter, add 1 TB of matcha to make a matcha hemp seed butter.
